The Nile River was used for a water source for the peasants to grow crops which would then go to the rich for food. The Nile River is the delta formed in Northern Egypt where the Nile River spreads out and drains into the Mediterranean Sea. It is one of the world's largest river deltas. The Nile is 6,853 km (4,258 miles) long, and 2.8 km(2 mi) wide. It is also home to the the nile crocodile, it is an African crocodile and the second largest extant reptile in the world, after the saltwater crocodile.
